As stands, t a good f our Q format. answers supported, references,

or expertise, but t solic, arguments, polling, discussion.

Well a few options. First , you're coming from a browser environment, which a b opinion. Developing desktop applications b involved do , but usually learn a framework along. a desktop mobile application. Right few options:

learn C . Both languages then I mention below, but once learn them you'll underst other languages a lot better. Knowing these would allow program Mac . After these, you'd learn Cocoa Touch. Cocoa framework create applications.

learn Java, which would let desktop platforms Android. Java good beginner language, works major operating systems. Unfortunately developing a desktop application means you'll probably be using Swing, which opinion terrible way interfaces. There other Java GUI frameworks out there, but they don't seem too much better.

also learn C. C 's language, very powerful . Like Java, it's a good beginner language. Plus, once a huge variety things, from servers applications applications. Unfortunately, once writing C locked Microsoft's ecosystem most part.

I think matter which path , you'll benef what . There's no perfect language everything . path learn them all. do they get easier , but multiple languages underst ones know better.
