Missed It! must be enabled Accessibility Service able application notifications ('Settings » Accessibility » Accessibility services'). If enabled and application notifications, try disabling re-enabling.
Starting from Gmail 2.3.5, Google doesn't allow 3rd party apps Gmail application data. T It! "directly" emails. You monitor Gmail messages if Missed It! as any other regular application.
Missed It! v4.1.8 :

Found 4.3 cause, rare cases, Missed It! unable application notifications. I fixed the app crash, however force reboot in order access .
